Sunday March 5th, 2017 - 7:30PM - GSM Red Wine Tasting
Our next tasting will be at 7:30PM on Sunday March 4th. This month's tasting will be featuring GSM wines. One of the world's classic wine blends is Grenache-Syrah-Mourvèdre, colloquially known as "GSMs". One example is Châteaunuf-du-Pape, one of the classic blends of the Rhône region of France, but GSMs are also produced in Australia as well as California, where the producers are sometimes referred to as the Rhone Rangers. Grenache probably originated from Aragón in modern Spain (or possibly Sardinia in modern Italy), Syrah from France, and Mourvèdre from Catalonia as planted by the Phoenicians, making the blend international as well as diverse.
The cost will be our usual $25 for members and $30 for non-members.
Members get an exclusive right to sign up for this tasting through Friday February 10th. After that it will be opened to non-members.
