Tuesday October 5th, 2021 - 7:30PM - Italian Red Wine Tasting
Our next tasting will be at 7:30PM on Tuesday October 5th. The tasting will feature red wines from Italy. There's more to Italian reds than cheap Chianti. Italy produces almost a third of all wine worldwide, with regions from the Tyrols in the far north (with a heavy Austrian/German influence) down to Sicily, with a corresponding spread of climates, varietals (350 "authorized" plus unofficial ones), and styles. For this tasting we'll try to give you an interesting spread, focusing (as usual) on the dry styles.
The cost will be $25 for members and $30 for non-members.
Members get a preferential right to sign up for this tasting through Thursday September 9th. After that it will be opened to non-members. We do allow up to four non-members sign up during the member signup period.
Current rules say that since we are indoors and are in close proximity to each other, attendees must be fully vaccinated. Current rules also require that everyone wear masks until we start the tasting.
